Location
Les Gets dates back to the turn of the 14th century and in contrast to more purpose-built resorts, retains the charm and atmosphere of a traditional Alpine community, whilst providing all the facilities one would expect for a memorable holiday in winter or summer.
Just over an hour's drive from Geneva airport or a day's drive from Calais, this traditional-style Alpine chalet is perched on a hillside overlooking the village. It is only a ten minute walk from the shops, restaurants and ski lifts which give access to sensational local skiing for all levels in Les Gets and Morzine.
Only a 15-minute drive away gives quick access to Avoriaz and the other seven resorts in Les Portes du Soleil, the largest linked ski area in the world. With 650 kilometres of prepared pistes the Portes du Soleil ski pass provides an exceptional range of skiing for all standards of skier and snowboarder.
By Air
Geneva (85km) is the nearest airport and is a 1hr 15min drive from the chalet
From the airport
Hiring a car gives plenty of options to explore the Portes du Soleil. Our recommended partner is Rentalcars.com. If arriving via Geneva airport, pick up your hire car on the Swiss side of the border (it has 2 exits), as you'll find it easier - and probably cheaper.
There are also numerous companies running private and shared transfers between Geneva and the Portes du Soleil, stopping off in Les Gets; ask for details when you book your stay.
